Day in Al-Anon (district 17)
Do you worry about how much someone drinks? Do you feel like a failure because you can’t control the drinking? Do you think that if the drinker stopped drinking, your other problems would be solved? Do you feel angry, confused, or depressed most of the time? Do you believe that if they really loved you, they’d stop drinking?
If you answered “Yes” to any of the above questions, you are not alone. Come check out the Al-Anon/Alateen Family Group of Fremont-Union City-Newark (F.U.N.). Please join us at the “Day In Al-Anon” event on Saturday, August 12, at Calvary Chapel 42986 Osgood Rd. in Fremont between Washington Blvd. and AutoMall Parkway. There will be workshops throughout the day with topics focused on marriage, parenting, and the effects of alcoholism on adults who grew up in families affected by the disease. Speakers from Alateen, Alcoholics Anonymous, and Al-Anon will also share their personal testimonies. The suggested donation is $20 and includes lunch. However, NO ONE will be turned away.
Join us for a day of fellowship, recovery, workshops, food, fun, and raffle baskets! The doors open at 9:00am for registration and gentle exercise. Workshops are from 10:00am to 2:45pm with speakers from 3:00pm to close. For more information, visit http://dia2017.yolasite.com. For information about Al-Anon and Alateen, go to www.ncwsa.org.
