Share your American way of life with an International High School Exchange Student.

We are currently looking for host families to host our exchange students

There is no definition of a 'perfect host family' - it can be couples with or without children, empty-nesters, single-parent families. All that is needed is that you are willing to accept a new family member from abroad and let him or her experience being part of an American family. They want to learn about American culture while they are here, and will share the culture of their home land with you! These students are bright, curious and excited to learn about this country by living as part of a family and attending high school. All of them speak English and are carefully screened for scholastic ability and good character. Each student expects to bear his or her share of household responsibilities, while being included in normal family activities.

In return, you will make a life-long friend, learn about a different culture, and make a positive contribution to cross-cultural understanding in the world.

You would be volunteering to house and feed the student throughout the exchange year, but students do have their own spending money and come with health insurance through ASSE. Families can select a youngster of their choice, and will receive on-going support through ASSE and our local representatives.
