LAW SCHOOL TUTOR - Attorney and Highest Grade Winner w/ the A Approach
Hello! I am a California attorney, awarding winning USD Law graduate, tutor to all law students and LSAT tutor of five years and have had hundreds of students. rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnFact is, despite popular opinion, there is a formula to doing well on in law school and on law school exams that you can absolutely master with just a few tweaks to your approach. It isn't overly complicated and doesn't take nearly as much work as you might think. The key is understanding what NOT to study so that you may hone in on particular areas your professor has harped on. The reality is that law school is a hazing ritual. It is designed to mirror real life situations that an attorney will encounter. When a client walks into a lawyer's office they'll throw a million facts at you. When you seek the appropriate law they'll be an infinite number of statutes. Wise, efficient attorneys cut through the crap and determine what the LEGALLY SIGNIFICANT FACTS ARE and determine the SIMPLIFED LANGUAGE OF THE STATUTE from a treatise. This is the same approach a law student ought to take. Ignore the noise! About 90% of what is in your text will go untested. HOWEVER, about 80% of what is said in your classroom WILL be on your exam. Thus the proper approach to law school involves a class note heavy approach. Additionally you'll need to learn the proper way to outline to format your notes in a way that will prepare you most properly for exams - there are certain traits your outline must take on in order to train your brain to think in terms of law school fact patterns. rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnMy approach focuses first and foremost on creating a perfect 25-35 page meticulously outlined document that you will study from. This document MUST be tailored to your professor's interests. Additionally, I grill my students with weekly memorization sessions and of course hone in on the areas you just can't seem to grasp. rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnMy approach is broken down into three parts - prior to class, during class, and after class. Within each of these time periods you are to complete certain of your studying tasks - which we will review in session (I can't reveal it all on the Internet!). The essence of the approach however is that you will be PREPARING FOR FINALS FROM DAY 1 OF OUR SESSIONS. Students who begin outlines or memorization a month from finals are cheating themselves. I will elaborate much more on the approach in our first meeting. rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnI know first year can be frustrating and you may often think you're incapable of getting As or even getting Bs. Trust me, doing well is within your reach. The students that are doing well just happened to figure out the formula before you. THEY ARE NOT NECESSARILY ANY SMARTER THAN YOU. Additionally, academic support programs are taught by students in their second or third year of law school who have not yet learned how to teach a digestible method for the law. This is why many of my students have sought help outside this setting. rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnMy students always have success, if they work hard that is. We will pinpoint what it is that is tripping you up and will hone in on the exact areas that need serious scrutinizing. My satisfaction truly comes from your growth. rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnAdditionally, I'm not anchored to the clock. If we're five minutes over, I never rush my students out the door - I finish a subject we're learning. As well I do accept groups of two at reduced rates. rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnPlease contact me to set up a meeting to get started. Looking forward to hearing from you! You can reach me at 516-297-5376 (don't worry, I'm in San Diego). rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnEarnestly rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnMichael Egenthal, Esq. rnrnPresident, Founder, Tutor rnrnInk.Forms..Rivers... rnrnUniquely Tailored Professional Tutorial Services for Southern California rn
