Looking for 5 Great Lifetime Guardians
I, personally, rescue animals from dangerous, near death, and/or life threatening situations. I have a clowder of felines ready for the next chapter in their life, so I'm looking for really fantastic people or families willing to open their homes, and hearts, for the lifetime of these animals. Most of these felines have been traumatized in some way, but through love, care, and a great vet, they've adapted very well, and have the ability to bond with their humans.
Please be willing to give them: time, and allow them to bond with you, sleep near you, and a safe place to be ignored.
Not all are cuddly, but most are... & some are also into grooming their humans.
There is an adoption fee of $60 per home, not per feline. Most of these felines have never been alone, so some will need to go in pairs, or trios. Please research the cost of food, hygiene, supplies, and care (vet/boarding/housesitting/etc...), as this will be part of your journey.
All felines currently have their own doctor in Yorba Linda, but you may want to find a really great vet near you.
I've already paid for ALL their medical expenses:
Health check
Basic blood tests
In house chemistry panels
Necessary vaccinations for indoor felines
Spay or Neuter
Most of them are Micro chipped
Fecal tests
Dewormed as needed
Flea Prevention
Necessary re-checks
Medications where applicable
Senior panels where applicable
All felines are carnivore therefore are on a diet of grain-free kibble, and RadCat Raw food, and or ground turkey, or chicken from my local butcher.
Please contact me if you are seriously interesting in following through with a try out. I will not expect you to adopt these felines right away, but I will allow both guardian and felines two weeks of cohabitation until a match is made. If it turns out it's not your 'cup of tea', well then... thank you for trying, but no refund will be given.
All felines will have a final health check before their two week adventure.
Age is not a factor for me, so I'm going to make it easy on myself by utilizing 'personality match'. If you're interested in becoming a lifetime guardian please email me with a bit about the environment of the home (eg: Many people, few people, calm kids, no kids, active/loud kids, other animals, lots of activity, very quiet to little activity), and give me 3 things you like about felines, 3 things you don't like, and 3 "would like if possible", one must, and one deal-breaker. Please don't give me information about your income, size of your home, or other various personal information that has nothing to do with being a great guardian. If people are requesting information about your income, etc... tell them it's non of their business.
Please do not contact me if you plan on declawing, devocalizing, or hope to pursue dental extractions. I only adopt to guardians who want the entire animal, not just parts of them.
These felines are currently indoor only. If you have other plans, I shall tell you now it should take a minimum of 9 months to 2 years before these guys should venture out... and very slowly. Remember, they have no street smarts, and had to be rescued from the outside world. They also get along with my very large dog, but keep in mind, my dog is VERY cat friendly.
Once there is a match, please be house ready for their visit: Cat tree (an actual tree, not a tiny scratching pole), litter box, litter, food & water, grooming kit, bonding treats... All should be in one room until the felines have acclimated to their new surrounds. You can expand their space over time.
