Unclaimed money in North Dakota
North Dakota keeps a free list of money owed to people it can't reach. Here's how to search it and claim what's yours.
How it works
- Open the state's official search above and type your last name (and first name if there are many results).
- Try every name you've used, and the names of a business you ran or a relative whose estate you handle.
- If you find a match, start a claim on the same site. You'll usually be asked for an ID and proof of the address on file.
Good to know
- Searching and claiming are free. You never need to pay a company to do it for you.
- Lived or worked in other states? Search those too: money goes to the state of the last known address. Every state's list.
- The state adds new names all the time, so it's worth searching again once a year.
