Machine Operator- Third Shift

Position Description:
Ensure the proper operation of production furnaces, Troubleshoot and make minor repairs, Perform preventative maintenance, Repairing kiln refractory, & General cleaning.
Hours would be 3rd Shift – 11:45pm – 8:00am (Tuesday – Saturday) with occasional overtime.
½ hour paid lunch
Hours and shift are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
• Operating Furnaces
• Troubleshoot and make minor repair to production furnaces
• Prepare kiln cars for loading
• Accurate and legible recording of kiln data and communication
• Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance
• Adhere to all process manuals, work instructions, and STMs
• Communicate properly with all levels of the organization
• Make sure that all safety rules are followed
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
• Ensure proper operations other equipment
• Perform buildings and grounds duties as required
• Assist with shipping and receiving
• Assist other departments
Requirements:
• Ability to learn and do a variety of procedures
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule
• Strong mechanical ability
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders up to 30 ft high
• Must have and maintain good attendance
• Clear readable handwriting
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to receive instructions over the phone, when needed
• Some knowledge of other production type procedures helpful
Qualifications:
• High school diploma required
• Experience in manufacturing environment a plus
• Attention to detail, with a safety conscious attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
