Building is a collaborative effort between the client, architect and craftsperson. Jim’s work includes private residences and retail spaces. JP3 was founded by licensed contractor Jim Mackel in the year 2006 with now 20 years of experience in the field of Custom Home Building. As a Newport Beach native, Jim was hired and introduced into the Estate building by 2 very high-end builders (Finton Construction and Tony Valentive Construction) after working with them separetly for 10 years he realized it was time to start JP3 Custom Homes inc. Jim enjoys surfing, snowboarding, hiking, camping with his wife and 2 boys. JP3 is a full service construction company offering expertise in the custom residential market. Currently, JP3 is focusing on single family residential projects in and around the Laguna Beach and Newport Beach area. JP3 also has extensive experience in Retail and Commercial projects; Jim is very familiar with the city codes and all projects are built in compliance. Jim is involved in the whole process of construction phases and works closely with Architects, Engineers, City Inspectors, tradesman and especially the Home Owner. Advance preparation of the pre-construction costs estimates will ensure forecasted costs and meet budget objectives. Communication enlarges each participants investment and raises the craft of the building. As a full–service general contracting firm, we are well equipped to act as the single point of contact for all of your building needs. In an effort to streamline the entire process, our architectural support team works hand–in–hand with our construction team ensuring that your plans are executed smoothly and efficiently. We have the capacity to handle every aspect of the job including design, engineering, permits, estimating, project management, construction, and sub–contractors.
