Dr. Ruiz received his dental degree from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated Cum Laude (high honors) in 1989, and was the recipient of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists award for excellence in undergraduate periodontics, and the Quintessence Award for outstanding performance in clinical periodontics. He has done extensive research, and pioneer work, in the field of periodontal regeneration, and has extensive experience in procedures leading to the regeneration of the supporting structures of the teeth.
