Bayshore Market

Linda and Paul Schobben got lost one day and found themselves staring at a "For Sale" sign on an old gas station at the corner of Bayshore and Interbay boulevards, just north of Ballast Point Park.

The next thing the former owners of a Largo garden center knew, they were opening Bayshore Market, an oasis of fresh greens, juicy fruits and other foods from local companies, including Cheesecake People and Sunset Salsa. Linda also makes her own homemade olive salad and lemon tapenade.

Inside, the neighborhood specialty store offers everything from Crawfish Pie to Mike's Pies to pot pies. Out back, fresh herbs thrive and seasonal plants flourish, such as daisies, bromeliads and orchids
