19th CENTURY (1800s) ANTIQUE AMERICAN PRIMITIVE DRY SINK
A unique, substantial, antique DRY SINK. rnrnPlease Note: This item is located in CORONA, CA.rnrnIt is dated from the mid to late 1800's and fits right in with any traditional, Americana styled household. This is NOT a reproduction as you tend to see so often online. Grandmother bought this and other items from an antique dealer directly out of a freight box-car from Pennsylvania, (at a So. Cal. train station) in the mid 1950's. rn rnrnNot a furniture expert but I believe the furniture is made of pine. At one time I was told that the dry sink was possibly Shaker and/or Pennsylvanian. rnrnIt is used and bears some wear but is still a well functioning piece. rnrnThere is no evidence of repairs/restoration.rnrnThere are no loose knobs, no broken hinges. All drawers are solid and easily open and close. rnrnThe structural integrity is ROCK SOLID. It seems to have metal and wooden nails and/or dowels in its construction. (see photos) rnrnDRY SINK DIMENSIONS:rnrnThe top section of the dry sink is 61 1/2 inches wide. rnrnIt is 22 inches deep from front to back.rnrnAt the front, it is 33 inches tall from the floor to the top rim. rnrnBy design it slightly inclines in the back, so it is 35 inches tall from the floor to the top back rim. rnrnThe top section has two drawers at each side that are approximately 7 inches wide and 20 inches deep on the inside of drawer. rnrnThe lower dry sink cabinet section is 42 1/2 inches wide by 20 1/2 inches deep. rnrnIt is 28 3/4 inches from floor to top edge of cabinet door.rnrnIt is roomy with two doors opening outward and revealing another drawer for silverware, utensils etc...rnrnThe drawer measures 14 inches in width by 18 inches deep. (measured from the inside of drawer)rnrnThe left cabinet section of the dry sink has two 17 inch wide shelves and on the rightrnrnthere is a 17 inch high by 17 inch wide space for larger objects. (just below the drawer.) rnrnThere is one deep scratch that is 2 1/2 inches in length along the top front rim of the dry sink. rnrnThere is another scratch approximately 1 inch wide on a door.rnrnAny other scratches from wear are smaller in size and nature. rnrnThis Dry Sink is roomy and beautiful yet functional and practical in any modern home.rnrnPlease Note: This item is located in CORONA, CA.
